Matthew DeSanto is a true jack of all trades — a hands-on entrepreneur who’s scaled two companies from startup to corporation across multiple industries. He founded Mountain and Desert because he wanted to get deeper into prospecting and precious metal recovery, and his current work still keeps him rolling up his sleeves and doing the labor himself.
As a hobbyist prospector, he’s always been the type to dig in and learn by doing. Now he’s ready to bring that same grit and resourcefulness to the mining industry — not just to pick up the trade, but to make whoever he’s working for’s life a little easier

Equally at home behind a desk or in the field, he brings both administrative competence and hands-on capability — the rare person who can handle the paperwork and the physical work with equal confidence. He’s just as comfortable at the bottom of the totem pole as he is managing a team; put him wherever he fits in the chain of command and he’ll get after it.
